The stool, sometimes occasional table, takes its name from the first prototype constructed from solid Scottish Sycamore from the Blackwood Estate near Lesmahagow in South Lanarkshire.
We later prototyped a Walnut version and a cast, glass reinforced, lightweight concrete version for indoor or outdoor use. The hollow form allows for these stools to be stacked.
Produced in small batches these stools are now available in a variety of other solid timbers including Oak and Douglas Fir. Veneered versions are currently available in Oak, Douglas Fir, Ash and Cherry although most veneers are available on request.
