Key responsibilities:

·       You will act as the bridge between the client and studio/studio and workshop ensuring project objectives are met on time and on budget

·       Administrative support, streamlining processes and suggesting improvements, creating weekly and monthly reports on status of all live projects for design & production team meeting and work with the design team to set and maintain schedules

·       You will prepare resourcing schedules, fee proposals and payment schedules for all new projects alongside director

·       Accounting and bookkeeping tasks and reconciling projects costs & expenditure, completing expenses etc. track and invoice studio time as appropriate, maintain cost and project tracking during live projects, ensure all staff members complete time sheets. You will liaise with our accountant and bookkeeper as required

·       You will liaise with clients, external project managers, main contractors, contractors and consultants as required. You will administer purchasing for all design and build projects and liaise with other workshops and suppliers to ensure delivery. You will maintain trade accounts and insurances across the business.

·       Perform HR related tasks as required including shortlisting, interviewing, job offers, contracts and right to work checks. You will also deal with the pension scheme, employee appraisals

·       Ensure the workshop adheres to Health & Safety legislation across all aspects of our work

 

Further responsibilities:

PA duties – assisting director with email and diary management

Providing general support to the wider studio & workshop

Arranging travel and accommodation for staff business trips

General studio housekeeping – making sure studio and workshop consumables are fully stocked

Support the director with developing future plans and implementing improvements in all areas

We are looking for a highly skilled bespoke cabinet maker to join our talented team of craftsmen. The position available offers the challenging opportunity to work as a key player in the production and installation of our innovative and varied projects across Scotland, the UK and at times abroad.

The position requires:

  • Must be used to making complete pieces of furniture from start to finish as well as working as part of a team on larger projects.

  • Able to work from detailed production drawings.

  • Must have had a minimum of 5 years’ experience of cabinet making

  • Well organised and able to work to deadlines

  • Candidates must have a sound technical background in solid and veneering components, together with good hand and machine skills, including competent use of a spindle moulder.

  • You must be able to work to precise tolerances and must possess an intricate attention to detail

You will be a positive, enthusiastic and resourceful self-starter, capable of taking ownership of complete projects and working as part of a group. You will have a good understanding of form and function, be a creative thinker with an eye for detail.

We are looking for a highly skilled fitter / joiner to join our current team. You will work alongside the established team of cabinet makers, preparing the outgoing projects for installation, gaining a good working knowledge of the furniture, it's construction and the specifics associated with their installation.

It is essential for the candidate to take the upmost care with the products, materials and finishes that are to be fitted. You should be well presented with good communication skills, attitude and attention to detail.

This is an opportunity to work on extremely bespoke joinery projects so taking pride in your work is a must!

Ability to read and understand complex drawings is essential.
